Communications -none
Committees -no reports
Circulation - Circulation for July 92 was 3,819 up 11%
from July 1991. Traffic for July 1992 was 2,164 up
5% from July 1991.
Old Business -Some of the chairs from the museum have
been delivered to the library. The copier has been
purchased and is being used. The Laser -Cat Grant is
due Sept. 25 and the Annual statistical report is due
at the State Library Sept. 15.
New Business -A motion was passed to accept the circulation
policies part of the policy manual. Donna reported
on the marketing seminar that she attended.

CIRCULATION POLICIES
Loans and renewals
-2 week loan period, no renewal if item has a reserve
on it
- one renewal only
Overdue Retrieval
- patrons are called within one week of date item is
overdue
- cards are sent in the mail after items are 4 -6 weeks
overdue
Fines
- patrons who are continually overdue will be charged
a fine
-will allow a 7 day grace period before charging fines
- amount of fine is 5 cents per day up to $2.50 per
item
Lost Materials -if lost item is to be replaced patron
will be charged replacement cost of the item plus $3.00
processing fee
- if item is not going to be replaced a depreciated
amount will be charged to the patron
Interlibrary Loan
- items are generally on a short loan period
-if lending library charges any fees the fee will be
passed on to the patron requesting the item
- fine may be charged to patrons for overdue I.L.L.
items the same as other overdue items
- patrons will be charged what the lending library charges
for lost I.L.L. items
Reserved Materials
- patrons may fill out a request to reserve books in
demand
- patrons are called when their name comes up in the
order items are requested
- patrons have three days to pick up reserved items
after they are called or lose their turn
- items with reserves on them may not be renewed
Suspension of Checkout Privileges
- library staff may suspend patrons borrowing privileges
until overdue items have been returned and fines paid, or
replacement fees for lost items have been paid
