Attending -Donna Kilpatrick(presiding), Sue & Brandi
Carter, Burt Kucera, Camb Calvert, Shirley Vennes,
and Peggy Arnold
Minutes- read,corrected, and approved
Communications -Peggy received a phone call about
a Montana State Library Commission phone conference
concerning cuts to the state aid budget. We received
our Laser Cat Grant agreement. There will be a
mid - winter retreat in Bozeman for MLA on Feb.
25 -27. Peggy and one other library employee may
attend if their schedules allow.
Committee Reports -
PALS -The federation plan of service for fiscal
year 93 -94 was discussed at the Jan. 14 meeting.
Bill Cochran, director at Parmly Billings Library,
will conduct a workshop on May 20 on planning
and goal setting.
National Library Week -There was discussion
of ideas on how to celebrate including an open
house, art show, and logo contest.
Circulation Report- Traffic for Dec. 92 was 1,793
up 11% from Dec. 91. Circulation for Dec.92 was
2,940 up 20% from Dec. 91.
Old Business -We discussed developing a pamphlet
to advertise the library.
New Business -Peggy will request grant money from
the Montana Rail Link.
Next Meeting -Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.
