LAUREL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Attending -Donna Kilpatrick(presiding), Sue Carter, Burt
Kucera, Shirley Vennes, Camb Calvert, Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Communications -The preliminary budget has been approved and
Sue Carter has been reappointed to the library board for a
five year term which expires June 30, 1998.
Unfinished Business -A report was given on National Library
Week and on the Planninga and Role setting workshop. There
was discussion on organizing a Friends of the Library.
New Business- Sue.Carter made a motion to not charge
Yellowstone County residents a card fee for using the
library. Seconded by Burt Kucera. Passed unanimously.
Election of officers was held at this time. A motion was
made by Sue Carter to retain the present officers. Seconded
by Camb Calvert. Motion passed unanimously.
Circulation- Traffic for March was 2,766 up 13 %. Circulation
for March was 3,742 up 6 %. Traffic for April was 2,690 up
4 %. Circulation for April was 3,401 down 11 %. Traffic for
May was 2,201 up 2 %. Circulation for May was 2,848 down 4 %.
