Board of Trustees April 18,1996
Attending -Sue Carter(presiding), Katherine Kucera,
Marilyn Minch
Minutes -read, corrected, and approved
Coorespondence -There will be a budget hearing May
8 at 6 p.m.
Circulation- Traffic for March 96 was 1,698 down
24% from March 95. Circulation for March 96 was
3,878 up 1% from March 95.
Old Business -Items discussed included the play and
quilt display for National Library Week, job descriptions,
government review, and summer reading. A motion
was passed to dedicate the wall unit in memory of
Gene Williams on July 11 and to try to combine the,
dedication with some other activity.
New Business -Items discussed included the M.L.A
Conference to be held in Helena April 25 -27 and
the possibility that the library may be busier this
summer due to the loss of the movie theater. Katherine
Kucera gave a report on the Federation Advisory
Board meeting held March 30,1996. Items Katherine
reported on were legislative issues, the telecommunications
bill, decency act for use of the internet, and the
election of a new chair for the Federation Board.
Next Meeting -May 1 at 7 p.m,
