February 5, 1997 Attending -Donna Kilpatrick(presiding), Shirley Cahill,
Marilyn Minch, Katherine Kucera, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Correspondence -The Budget committee asked each department
head to submit a 10 year capital outlay forecast,
MLA Annual conference information was received, Bob
Magart will give a demonstration of Athena softare
for automation and circulation on March 12, and there
will be a low vision seminar May 7 -9.
Circulation - Traffic for Jan. 97 was 1,517 down 9%
from Jan. 96. Circulation for Jan. 97 was 4,220 up
18% from Jan. 96.
Unfinished Business -Peggy is starting to work on
the Internet Use Policy.
New Business -The Laurel Federated Women's Club will
hold a play and open house April 16 during National ��
Library Week and we will have the computer ready
for public use by then. March 11 the West School
PTA will hold its meeting in the community room.
Bernice Mason will be asked to present another program
in March. Peggy will be working on policy for patron
conduct.
