Attending -Donna Kllpatrick(presiding), Marilyn Minch, Katherine
Kucera, Shirley Cahill, and Peggy Arnold.
Minutes -read, corrected, and approved
Coorespondence -Peggy received the budget worksheet from the
city clerk which needs to be turned in by April 14. We received
the agenda for the April 5 Federation Advisory Board meeting.
Circulation Report- Traffic for March 1997 was 2,005 up 18% from
March 1996. Circulation for March 1997 was 4,152 up 25% from
March 1997.
Old Business -The Egg Hunt that the Laurel Federated Women's
Club hosted on March 26 was well attended. The Laurel
Federated Women's Club will present the play 'Jack and the
Beanstalk' on Wednesday April 16 at 1 p. m. and the Library
Board will host an open house with cookies and coffee from 2
p.m. -7 p.m. in celebration of National Library Week April 13 -19.
New Business -Kenco Enterprises has submitted a proposal for a
Security System. Donna will talk to the budget committee to see
if we can find the funds to have It installed this fiscal year. The
Library Board would like Peggy to find someone who has their
own mower to mow the library lawn. A motion was passed to
accept the revisions to the 'Guidelines and Rules for use of the
VCR and TV'. A motion was passed to accept the revisions to the
'Guidelines and Use of the Community Room'. A draft of the
'Patron Conduct Rules' was reviewed and will be retyped and
looked at the next board meeting.
