Board of Trustees April 1, 1 998
Attending - Shirley Cahill(presiding), Katherine Kucera,
Sue Carter, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Coorespondence- received an updated of the 'e rate discount'
program.
Circulation -March 98 traffic was 1 ,802 down 10% from March 97,
March 98 circulation was 3,841 down 7% from March 97.
Old Business- The budget hearing is April 8 at 7 p.m., cookies will
be available for patrons looking for tax forms, Foxy will be given
a plaque and flowers in appreciation of her years of storytelling.
Magi Malone, State Technology Librarian will attend a board
meeting in the future. We discussed the summer reading program
and a book fair.
New Business -The Town and Country Quilters will display their
quilts April 13 to May 14. The Lions Club is displaying their
elementary school flag project. The Laurel Roadrunners 4H
donated $50 to the library and will plant flowers and landscape as
a project. The Laurel Federated Women's Club will host an egg
hunt on April 8 and will have a play during National Library Week
for storytime. A rough draft of library standards will be
available in April.
