Attending - Shirley Cahill(presiding), Katherine Kucera, Donna Kilpatrick, Peg
Freund, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Coorespondence -Peggy received the state library report which is due October
30, 1998. The P.A.L.S. meeting and workshop for Nov. 7 has been cancelled.
Circulation - Traffic for Sept.98 was 1,409 down 12% from Sept. 97. Circulation
for Sept. 98 was 2,932 down 16% from Sept. 97.
Old Business -We discussed the school's computer, I.L.L. workshop, quilt
display, bike rack, and erate discount.
Meeting Reports- Katherine reported on the F.A.B. meeting and workshop on
Sept. 26. The workshop covered trustee responsibilities. The main discussion of
the meeting covered changes to the 99 -2000 Plan of Service. Changes include
attendance at meetings to receive grant funds and that receipts will be required
to report how grants are expended.
New Business - Ebscohost database is up and running, Magi Malone will be here
for training on Oct. 23, department head meetings are held on the same days as
council meetings, and there was training today for all city employees on sexual
harassment.
