Board of Trustees Feb. 8, 1999
Attending - Shirley Cahill(presiding), Peg Freund, Marilyn Minch, Donna Kilpatrick,
Katherine Kucera, Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Coorespondence- We received the budget worksheets and the Funding Committment
Letter for erate discounts.
Circulation- Traffic for January 99 was 1,442 down 12% from January 98. Circulation for
January 99 was 3,610 down 6% from January 98.
Old Business -Peggy will be filing the paperwork to receive the discounts for erate. Most
of the bills that the Montana Library Association has proposed in the legislature are doing
well.
New Business -We worked on the requests for the next budget. The Laurel Federated
Women's Club will have an egg hunt at the end of the month for storytime and they will
have a play during National Library Week. Peggy will be attending a P.A.L.S. meeting on
Feb. 12 and she will attend the 99 Offline retreat in Bozeman Feb 26 and 27. The library
will provide cookies to celebrate National Library Week April 12 -17 and for anyone
picking up their tax forms.
