Board of Trustees June 14,1999
Attending - Shirley Cahill(presiding), Marilyn Minch, Donna Kilpatrick, Katherine
Kucera, Peggy Freund, and Peggy Arnold
CoOi'espondence -The Gates Foundation is giving Montana Libraries a large
donation. Janice Bradley, Federation Coordinator is leaving her job at Lewistown.
Circulation - Traffic for May 99 was 1,334 up 6% from May of 98. Circulation for
May 99 was 2,815 up 8% from May 98.
Old Business -The Laurel Roadrunners 4H planted flowers and trees and the Girl
Scouts are still getting donations for a bike rack. Kay Kucera reported on the
Federation Workshop and meeting that was held here on May 22. The next
Federation Advisory Board meeting is Aug. 18. Peggy reported on the summer
reading program and the state cooperative database project. The recon and
automation project is going well.
New Business - Shirley Cahill is stepping down from her position on the board. She
was presented with a card of thanks by the board. Gail Brice is interested in
serving on the board and will ask the mayor to appoint her.
