AMENDING SECTION 12.04.090, PRICE OF
LOTS, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that
Section 12.04.090 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 12.04.090 Price of Lots. Lots in the City cemetery
shall be sold according to the following prices:
A. All lots, except lots in Section G of the City cemetery
shall cost the amounts set forth in the table below:
Adult graves for City residents ............. $200.00
Adult graves for non-city residents ......... 250.00
Baby graves for City residents .............. 100.00
Baby graves for non-city residents .......... 125.00
B. All lots in Section G of the City cemetery shall be
sold only in pairs and each lot of the pair shall cost the same
as is set forth in the table above.
C. In addition to the price of the lots set forth herein,
there shall be an additional charge for opening and closing of
any grave of One-Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for adult graves,
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for baby graves, and twice the set amounts
for any opening and closing on weekends or holidays.
D. Opening and closing charges for cremations shall be
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) on weekdays and One-Hundred Dollars
($100.00) on weekends and holidays.
E. A Ten Dollar ($10.00) recording fee shall be collected
from persons wishing to set urns or ashes into existing headstones.
The cemetery caretaker must be present at all interments.
F. All prices and fees set forth herein may be changed
by the Laurel City Council by resolution, from time to time,
as the Council may deem appropriate.
G. Lots shall be sold consecutively in all new sections of
the cemetery, including Section B.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
October 7 , 1986, by Alderman Dickerson
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council and APPROVED
by the Mayor this 21st day of Oct. , 1986.

This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after final
passage by the Laurel City Council.
