Board of Trustees Nov. 8, 1999
Attending - Marilyn Minch(Presiding), Peggy Freund, Kay Kucera,Donna Kilpatrick,
Gail Brice, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -The September minutes were read and approved.
Coorespondence -The Gates Foundation workshop will be held Jan. 11 at MSU -B.
Circulation - Traffic for Sept.99 was 1,598 up 13% from Sept.98. Circulation for
Sept. 99 was 3,181 up 8% from Sept. 98. Traffic for October 99 was 1,528 up 6%
from October 98. Circulation for October 99 was 2,732 down 13% from October
98.
Old Business -We discusses the BARS accounting for the budget, bike racks, and
the book cover contest.
New Business -The Laurel Federated Woman's Club donated children's books to
the library. We discussed the erate program, Infotrac, and the State Library
Report. We will try to have a holiday program again with Bernice Mason, county
extension agent.
Kay reported on the Federation Advisory Board meeting and workshop that she
attended on Nov. 6. She reported on Voluntary Certification, Coal Tax revenues,
and future workshops.
