Board of Trustees February 14,2000 at 7 p.m.
Attending - Marilyn Minch (presiding), Peg Freund, Katherine Kucera, Gail Brice,
Donna Kilpatrick, and Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Correspondence- The Gates Foundation will give the money to the library and a
resolution may need to be passes by the City Council in order to spend the
money this budget year. We received the materials from MLA for the annual
library conference.
Circulation - Traffic for January was 1,555 up 8% from January 99. Circulation for
January was 3.066 down 10% from January 99.
Old Business -We are still considering some summer reading program ideas.
New Business -The Gates grant will be awarded in March, but no dates have
been set for the mandatory workshops. The Laurel Roadrunners 4H will
landscape the library for their summer project. The board will look at their bylaws
to update them in the future. A motion was passed to submit the annual report to
the City Council.
