Board of Trustees April 10, 2000
Attending - Marilyn Minch(presiding), Kay Kucera, Peggy Freund, and Peggy
Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Correspondence -We received the Gates Foundation check, and there will be a
preliminary budget hearing for the library on April 26 at 7 p.m.
Announcements- Laurel Federated Woman's club Easter egg hunt and play is
April 19, Peggy will attend a Gates Foundation workshop on April 20, and the
M.L.A. Conference is April 26 -29.
Circulation - Traffic for March 2000 was 1,803 down 3% from March 1999.
Circulation for March 2000 was 3,610 down 2% from March 1999.
Old Business -The annual report will be on the council agenda next month. The
summer reading program will be similar to last years with more handouts. A
motion was passed to adopt the by -laws. Kay Kucera gave a report of the
Federation Advisory Board meeting and Workshop that was held on April 1,
2000.
