AMENDING SECTION 2.08.140, PUBLIC UTILITIES
DIRECTOR, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that
Section 2.08.140 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 2.08.140 Public Utilities Director. A Public
Utilities Director shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the
advice and consent of the Council for a period of two (2)
years or for such shorter periods as may be designated in the
appointment and until his successor is appointed. The position
of Public Utilities Director shall be a salaried position.
The Public Utilities Director's salary shall be established by
resolution of the Council.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
September 2, 1986, by Alderman Meyers.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council and
APPROVED by the Mayor this 23rd day of September, 1986.
This ordinance effective 30 days after final passage.
