BOARD OF TRUSTEES June 17, 2002
Attending- Peggy Freund (presiding), Katherine Kucera, Bonnie Latham, Gail
Brice, and Peggy Arnold
Correspondence -Bill Rossiter, the performer for the MCH program, notified us
that his program will need to be changed to November 8 due to funding of the
Montana Committees for the Humanities.
Circulation- Traffic for May of 2002 was 1,448 up 7% from May of 2001.
Circulation for May of 2002 was 2,767 down 4% from May 2001.
Old Business- The project to color code the easy readers has been completed by
our volunteers, Sharon Russell, and Cecil Simon. Peggy Arnold presented the
budget to the full council on June 5, 2002. Peggy also reported on the bus tour to
Wyoming to visit library district libraries, and she reported on the Gates Institute
she attended.
New Business- The mayor will appoint a new board member. We discussed
forming a friends group and Bonnie will volunteer to recover some of our books.
A motion was passed to close the library at 5:00 p.m. on the 4th of July. The
summer reading program crafts will begin this week.
