BOARD OF TRUSTEES September 10, 2001
Attending -Peggy Freund(presiding), Gail Brice, Bonnie Latham, Katherine Kucera, and
Peggy Arnold
Minutes -read and approved
Correspondence -Nancy Schmidt and Peggy Arnold will attend the Montana State Library
Fall workshop on September 21. Nancy will be attending the book mending classes and
Peggy will attend one class on supporting young reader's and a class about the
Children's Internet Protection Act. The library will cosponsor CPR classes with
Deaconess Billings Clinic on Saturday, September 29. There is a Federation Advisory
Board meeting in Billings on September 29.
Circulation - Traffic for August 2001 was 1,562 down 1% from August 2000. Circulation
for August 2001 was 3,371 down 9% from August 2000.
Old Business -The Budget and Finance Committee has not asked for any more
reductions to our budget. The 'Money on the Bookshelf' story time by Bernice Mason
was well attended.
New Business -We are requesting volunteers for a Wednesday morning story time.
Peggy Arnold is working on the Annual Report and we discussed having a Book Sale.
We will read and discuss the first two sections of the Trustee Manual, chapters 1 -6 for
the next board meeting.
