BOARD OF TRUSTEES JULY 9,2001
Attending - Marilyn Minch(presiding), Katherine Kucera, Bonnie Latham, Peg Freund, and
Peggy Arnold
Minutes -The minutes for the May meeting were read and approved. There was no
meeting in June.
Correspondences - Mayor Rodgers reappointed Katherine Kucera to the Library Board
for a five -year term. We received notice from the Montana Dept. of Transportation for
the reconstruction of 8 Ave. The Montana State Library sent new trustee handbooks
and several different mailings concerning verification of standards, establishing library
districts, The Children's Internet Protection Act, and Library Records Confidentiality Act.
Bernie Mason contacted Peggy about a special story time to instruct children about
money.
Circulation-Traffic for May 2001 was 1,448 down 12% from May 2000 and circulation for
May 2001 was 3,647 up 14% from May 2000. Traffic for June 2000 was 1,512 down
14% from June 2000 and circulation for June 2001 was 3,075 down 11% from June
2000.
Old Business -The doors have been replaced and no more meetings have been
scheduled with the budget and finance committee.
New Business -The following officers were elected: Marilyn Minch was elected
Chairperson, Peg Freund was elected Vice Chairman, and Kay Kucera was elected
Federation Advisory Board member.
Next meeting- Monday August 13 at 7 p.m.
