AMENDING SECTION 2.08.080, CITY ENGINEER,
OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that
Section 2.08.080 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 2.08.i080 City Engineer. The Mayor shall appoint,
with the consent and approval of the Council, a City Engineer,
whose term of office shall be for a period of two years or
for such shorter periods as may be designated in the appointment
and until his successor shall be duly appointed and qualified.
The position of City Engineer shall be a salaried position.
The City Engineer's salary shall be established by resolution
of the Council.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
September 2, 1986, by Alderman Meyers
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council and APPROVED
by the Mayor this 23rd day of September, 1986.
This ordinance effective 30 days after final passage.
