MAIN STREET Members present: Shirley McDermott, Dean Rankin Advisors present: Steve Zeier, Janice Lehman Others present: Bill Kampfer, Linda Fricke!, Heidi Jensen, Shirley Ewan Laurel Alive had a good year with only 2 weather problems and the last one had a conflict with a football game. The lights are working at the Caboose. Heidi has the bills for Zak and the Movie House. Other applications are coming. The Trading Post has some interest, too. The contract for the sidewalks came and has to be signed. Trees around the TIF are being inventoried for possible grant money. The Major is staying on top of the parking project on S. Main. Shirley E. will be paying Y2 of the awning for the Movie House, lighting is on hold and half of the building permit will be paid. Dean and Janice said the contract has been let to Riverside and can start in 2 weeks. In the near future they may be looking at crosswalk signals for foot traffic No guest speakers at the meeting, Shirley M. will try to get Randy Hafner for the next meeting. In New business — Steve Zeier is leaving Big Sky and becoming a city planner for Billings handling 2 districts. The next meeting is October 3, 2011. Starting in November LURA will go back to 1 meeting a month for the winter.
