ORDINANCE NO. 983-AMENDED
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 983 ESTABLISHING DUTIES OF
FIRE/BUILDING INSPECTOR.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana, that Section 2.08.170 of the Laurel Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.08.170. Fire/Building Inspector Duties. The Fire/Building
Inspector shall:
1. Enforce, under the direction of the Fire Chief and the
City Engineer, all Fire and Building Codes adopted by the City.
2. Conduct all inspections as may be required or allowed
under Fire or Building Codes.
3. File all reports as may be required by the Council or
the State of Montana.
4. Establish an annual budget and work schedule for his
position.
5. Serve on various Committees at the Mayor's discretion.
6. Be familiar with all Fire and'BUilding Codes and
regulations as adopted by the City.
7. Attend such training and/or educational seminar in
Fire and Building Code enforcement as the Mayor may direct.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
after final passage of the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.
