There was no quorum so no business can be conducted.
Chuck distributed a Cemetery Projects and Cost sheet which shows the projects that have been done from
2009 — 2011 and the associated costs. There is $15,322.00 left in the Veteran's account.
Chuck said $110,687.00 has been appropriated for a sprinkling system in the preliminary budget for FY
2011 -12. Chad Hanson, Great West Engineering, is waiting for a task order and will proceed after the
commission approves it and the budget is passed by council. Chuck is hoping the project gets underway
before the end of the year.
Kurt said we have not sprayed for weeds at the cemetery this year. Town and Country did the spraying
last year but they no longer do it. Kurt said the city has sprayed in the past and it was done under a
license in his name. The employees did not adhere to the specific guidelines and regulations that go
with it. Kurt did not want the liability so he gave up his license. Kurt said our irrigation water has weed
seeds in it so we will never get ahead of the weeds. It was agreed that we still need to spray a couple
times a year to keep it under control.
Chuck made up a sample form for the memorial bench program.
Imaging of the cemetery was discussed and it was stated there is no separate line item in the budget. We
may be able to tie it to the sprinkler system, due to placement of the irrigation lines.
The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
