AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 17.08.325 TO THE
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, DAY CARE FACILITIES.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 17.08.325 is hereby added to the
Laurel Municipal Code.
Section 17.08.325. Day Care Facility. A day Care Facility
means a person, association, or place, incorporated or
unincorporated, that provides day care on a regular basis.
It includes a family day-care home, a day-care center,
or a group day-care home. The term does not include:
a) A person who limits care to children who are
related to him by blood or marriage or under his
legal guardianship; or,
b) any group facility established chiefly for
educational purposes that limits its services to
children who are 3 years of age or older.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
