AMENDING SECTION 3.04.030 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT REQUIRED.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 3.04.030 of the Laurel Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3.04.030. Annual Financial Statement Required.
A. within 120 days after the close of each fiscal
year the municipal clerk must make out, in duplicate,
a complete statement Of the financial condition of the
city for that fiscal year, showing:
1. <No change>.
2. <No change>.
3. <No change>.
4. <No change>.
5. <No change>.
6. <No change>.
7. <No change>.
8. <No change>.
9. Other information which may be required by the
department of Commerce.
B. The forms on which the statement shall be made shall be
prescribed by the department of Commerce.
C. The municipal clerk must, within 120 days following the
close of each fiscal year, transmit one copy of the
statement to the department of commerce, and must present
the other copy to the City Council.
D. If the municipal clerk fails to file a copy of the statement
with the department of Commerce within the time specified,
the department without delay, shall examine the books,
records, and accounts of the city. The department
shall make from its examination a statement of the
financial condition of the city for the preceding
fiscal year in the manner it should have been made by
the city clerk. The examination shall be considered a
special examination.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
after final passage by the City Council and approval by the
Mayor.

City Council on December 3 , 1991, by Alderman Rod§ers
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 17th day of December , 1991, upon a motion
by Alderman Marshall
