ORDINANCE NO. 1011
AMENDING SECTION 2.08.130 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, VOTING PROCEDURE.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 2.08.130 of the Laurel Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2.08.130. Voting procedure. The ayes and noes
must be called and recorded on both readings of an ordinance.
Any bylaw, or resolution, or making any contract and the
voting on the election or appointment of any officers
must be VIVA VOCE and a majority of the whole number of the
members elected is requisite to approve any of the same,
and such vote must be recorded.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on February 4 1992, by Alderman Collins
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 18th day of February , 1992, upon a motion by
Alderman Kellogg
APPROVED by the Mayor this 19th day of February , 1992.
