The Tree Board met 1:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers
with Pat Hart presiding. Members present Chuck Rodgers,
Sue Carter and Curt Markegard.
Invitations were sent May 6th for Arbor Day.
Two Ivory Silk Lilac trees were purchased from Good: Earth,
the root balls are bagged and burlap.
The program will be the Mayor as speaker, Fred Bicha
N.R.D.C. Tree City, the planting of the trees. They will
fly the Tree City Flag on the flag pole at the Cemetary.
The Garden Club will plant a hedge row of bushes pertaining
to the seasons, up above the viadock on the South side. Nina
Bark, Symack bushes, Ivory halo and Burning bush.
Pat and Sue will go looking at the trees at nurseries in
Billings for 8 replacement trees on the boulevard after some
renovation work on curbs and gutters, on May 23 at 10:00 A.M.
A tree decision will be made June 16, and given to Heidi Jensen
the City Planner.
The next meeting will be June 16, at 1:00 P.M.
