AMENDING SECTION 6.16.030, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, TO DECLARE STRAY ANIMALS TO BE A PUBLIC
NUISANCE.
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 6.16.030 of the Laurel Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6.16.030. Nuisance when.
A. It is declared a public nuisance for a dog,

cat or other
animal to: stray off the owner's premises or stray
onto premises owned by any other person; to destroy
property or other pets;to bite or chase after persons
or other pets not trespassing on the premises of the
animal's owner; or, to cause annoyance or disturbance
to any person by prolonged howling, yelping or barking.

This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30)days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
