ADDING SECTION 5.28.080 TO THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, ORDER TO HOLD PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana, that Section 5.28.080 is hereby added to the Laurel
Municipal Code, as follows:
Section 5.28.080. Order to hold ~roperty.
Whenever the city notifies any purchaser, in writing,
not to sell any property received or purchased by the
purchaser, such property shall not be sold, altered
or removed from the licensed premises for a period
of thirty (30) days. The hold order shall cease to
have effect at the end of the thirty (30) day period
and shall not be renewable. Ail held property shall be
made available to any appropriate city official to be
inspected, fingerprinted and photgraphed during this
holding period.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage of the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on December 15 , 1992, by Alderman Collins
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 5th day of January ___, 1993, upon motion
by Aldermann Graham
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Laurel this 6th day
