Kurt spoke regarding the 15 mph speed limit signs on 8 Avenue. The signs were not installed at the
end of the project, but some residents have requested that the signs be installed. The State does not
have any rules for 15 mph school zones. The city needs to submit a request to the Department of
Transportation. Some municipalities just install the signs and the State ignores them. Rick stated that
the officers do not enforce the 15 mph speed limit because the signs are gone. Rick will give Kurt a list
of the locations for the signs.
