I was speaking with the ChaiynAroman of the RuIbIlic Works Commit"Cee w1ho
was lamenting that it was dit'-ficult I -Io fish residents to sit on'the Public Works
committee and It was often diffincult to have a quorum for the rneetinigs,, As I
will no longer be a member of the Laurel CityCouncil come Januany 1, 2024,
1 would !;Ik,-- to -follow in the footsteps of previous "former councilmen," and
ask to be a "resident" member Of this committee. I have been a mer-ndber, as
well as chair. of this co'llimittee and feel it is t -he heart of the
accomplishn]Lents of the city of Laurel.
I would appreciate your appointment of me asa resident membeir of Laurel
Public Works.
