ADDING SECTION 8.04.240 TO THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, COLLECTION BY CITY EXCLUSIVE.
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana, that Section 8.04.240 be added to the Laurel Municipal
Code, as follows:
Section 8.04.240. Collection by City exclusive.
It is unlawful for any person other than the city to
engage in the business of collecting, removing, and
disposing of refuse within the jurisdiction of the city,
or for any person other than the city, its agents or
employees to do or perform any of the things herein
required to be done or performed by the city, except:
1) as provided in Section 8.04.120;
2) for drop box service for certain matter not to be
placed in receptacles (8.04.130);
3) for drop box service for demolition material with or
without a building or demolition permit required;
4) for drop box service for the disposal of shingles.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced on first reading at a regular meeting of the city
Council on the 16th day of March , 1993, by Alderman
Collins , and passed.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 6th day of ~pril , 1993, upon a motion by
Alderman C~llins
