The Tree Board met at 1:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers ,
with Pat Hart presiding. Members present were Emelie Eaton,
Sue Carter, and Kurt Markegard..
Tree Board budget $1,000 Arbor Day Grant , we need 1,500
for tree replacement.
1 Maple tree in Murray Park Memorial
1 Green Ash in Fireman's Park Memorial
the Unity Garden Club donated.
1 .Flowering Crab in Veterans Park
car ran over.
2 Council Trees in Thompson Park not
purchased yet.
Celebrate Arbor Day in May on a Saturday. Emelie moved
to have $1,500 for Arbor Day from the City Park budget and
$1 ,000 grant from the D.N. R.C. for Arbor Day, Sue seconded -
motion passed.
We are going to check with Chuck Rodgers about trees and
shrubs around the Gathering Area at the CemetMry.
Tree Care budget , we get*13,000 from Tree City U.S.A.
We need tree trimming at Riverside Park412,000, Trees and
Shrubs in Cemetery and trimming45,000and Trees in Parks
repiacement�2,000. Notice to the City Council to be put on
workshop agenda. The Tree Board would like the council to
seriously consider $19,000 for tree care and new trees for
the Parks for the July 20th Meeting.
To advertise for a Tree trimmer,they will submit a
letter of intent - Interview the arborist about tree care.
G.P.S. Great Western Engineering is going to do some
of our inventory for the Park Trees.
Emelie is going to apply for the American Legion Arbor
Day Alward, $1,000-
