AMENDING SECTION 2.84.100 OF
MUNICIPAL CODE, LOT PRICES.
THE LAUREL
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that Section 2.84.100 of the Laurel Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2.84.100. Lot prices.
A. All lot prices and fees, including the cost of
opening and closing, shall be established by
resolution and may be changed by the city
council, from time to time, as the council may
deem appropriate.
B. Lots shall be sold consecutively in all new
sections of the cemetery, including Section B.
C. A recording fee shall be collected from
persons wishing to set urns or ashes into
existing headstones. The cemetery caretaker
must be present at all interments.
D. A transfer fee shall be collected from the
seller of any lot whenever a lot is resold
privately.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after
final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council on December 21, 1993, by Alderman Orr.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second
reading this 4th day of January, 1994, upon a motion by Alderman
Graham.
APPROVED by the Mayor this 5th day of January, 1994.
