LAUREL URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY

Minutes approved as presented
Linda said the Rock the Block was a great success, the next one will have the firemen providing food.
Cement was poured for the pad for the caboose, P &H concrete did the job very well and quickly. She
should know about moving the caboose within a week.
Surveys with the town business owners will be done at a "group" meeting in the evening
Application for money for the facade improvement program and other programs will be handled by
Steve and should be done next meeting. Look into a loan fund program to help owners or encourage
lenders to help area businesses. We will try to have Pat Weber from the City of Billings come to speak.
Financials from James show we have about $158,000 with about $55,000 coming in June
James needs $3 to 4 thousand in his office for preservation activities which is part of a matching funds
program and provide money for the "mural project ". Daniel makes a motion "to provide up to $4,000
for each project of James pending statute review by Steve." Dirk seconds and there was unanimous
approval.
ADA requirements for Historic Remodeling, we will check with Randy Hafer and James.
Looking for a secretary to take minutes to replace Bill.
Next meeting June 21, 2010, discuss sewer tie in, cross walks and street over lay on S. 4 A meeting
was supposed to be held by the end of April but nothing has been presented by the City of Laurel to
date.
