HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 08.05.1981 Minutes of the City Council of Laurel August 5, 1981 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Larry D. Herman, at 7;~D~ p.m., on August 5, 1981. The purpose of this meeting was to hold a public hearing on the 1981-82 ~reliminary and Revenue Sharing Budgets. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Ehrlick Bill Brennan Duane Behm Susan Carter Donald Meyers{late)Terry Fink{late) Ervin Metzger COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Harold Burns PUBLIC HEARING 198~/82 ,REVENUE SHARING AND PRELIMINARY BUDGETS: This being the time and place advert'ised, a public hearing was held. No protests were presented. A summary of expenses and revenue~ by funds, was presented to and reviewed by the Council. There was still a deficit of $110,546 in the general fund. Discussion. Several budget cuts and transfer to other budgets were made and eventually the general fund budget was balanced. (See attached copy of the changes.) Motion b.y Alderman Ehrlick to accept the cuts, transfers and addi- tional 2 mills to balance the general fund budget, seconded by Alderman Meyers. Carried. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. Donald L.
