Members present: Shirley McDermott, Dean Rankin, Dirk Frickel, Bruce McGee Advisors present: Janice Lehman, Others Present: Bill Kampfer, Linda Frickel, James Caniglia, Riley Cook, Bob Ulrich Minutes from April 5, 2010 approved as submitted Laurel Movies House discussed by Cook and Ulrich. There will be 3 screens, two large theaters and a 49 seat. Cook owns the drive -in here in Laurel, ran a 7 screen theater in Billings to learn the business. They are shooting for an August opening. Each theater will have stadium type seating. They are using film not digital movies. They can run DVS's for private groups in "off hours ". Would be happy if the city had slant parking in the area. They are trying to use local contractors when possible. At the drive -in they are building an amusement park for daytime activity and may try to promote dinner and a movie. They were thankful for the commitment of $30,000 for their sewer and water needs. Linda says the Caboose project is working on the exact locations to avoid utility problems and may have to move a power pole. Jay Craig is donating rock work /water feature for the site. May 21 is the first Rock the Block. Janice Lehman is a new sponsor. Non - profits will be providing food and will be earning money to help support themselves. All dates are booked with bands and have had to turn some away. Allita Zimmerman from WalMart has agreed to be a new advisor. April 29 from 5 to 7 will be Business After Hours
