• Public Input — None
• Decision on flags for gathering area — Members from the American Legion were
invited to the meeting. The American flag and Montana state flag will be flown and the
legion indicated they would like the POW flag as the third one. Kurt checked with a
supplier in Billings and we can purchase the flags locally.
• Landscape at gathering area — Cathy spoke to Hank and he indicated he would have the
curbing done by Memorial Day. LuAnne and Cathy will look at plants for the
landscaping and the Mayor authorized an amount of up to $400 that can be used on
plants, weed barrier and decorative rock. LuAnne, Dick and Cathy volunteered to do the
planting when the curbing is done.
• Memorial Day celebration by American Legion — The Veterans said the American
Legion will provide the podium, chairs and a sound system for the celebration.
• Report on cemetery pump — Roger Perkins looked at our pump on Thursday and will
get back to us on its condition. It was suggested that if we have to replace the line to the
cemetery, we may want to look at relocating our pump to the east side of First Avenue to
avoid having to go under the highway.
• Other — Chuck asked the committee for a set day to meet and it was decided to try the
4th Monday of every month.
A big thank you went out to LuAnne for doing such a good job of painting the kiosk and
for getting the information sheets laminated.
Howard Guenthner said the Veterans only had a few graves stones to set this year and
this is their only source of income.
Matt reported on finding a person who was willing to bid on spraying the parks and
cemetery. He and Kurt felt the bid was fair and the city could not do it any cheaper.

Kurt said the trees have been fertilized with a natural fertilizer the last couple of years
and the evergreens are looking better than they have for many years.
Chuck would like Kurt or Matt to contact a company that does imaging so we can get a
cost for locating the pauper's graves.
Bob Saxbury asked about lighting the flags. Kurt is checking into it.
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
