Subject: Interchange west of Laurel
Dear Ken,
Thank you for writing to express your thoughts on the West of Laurel Interchange West
reconstruction project.
The intent of this project is to address historic crash trends immediately surrounding the
interstate bridges over the rail road tracks at RP 433. Additionally, this project will improve
access to the west side of Laurel by replacing an existing half access interchange with a full
access interchange at the intersection of Interstate 90 and 19 Ave West.
Phase one will be the reconstruction of the interstate bridges over the railroad tracks at RP
433 along with the on and off ramps for the new full access interchange. Phase two will
finish constructing the new full access interchange by completing the 19 Ave West bridge
over the interstate.
