Minutes from March 1, 2010 approved as submitted
Obligations still outstanding, $30,000 for the new movie theater, $35,000 for water and
sewer on West Main street later this year.
LightNex has recently purchased the grain elevator and will be operating their fiber optic
and fixed wireless networks from there.
Linda updates the Chamber and Laurel Alive. On 3 -18 the Chamber was hosting
business after hours'from 5 -7 at the Crossings. On 3 -26 casino night will be held at the
Jaycee Building at Riverside Park
Laurel Alive is close to having the concrete work One for the Caboose. Laurel will be
hosting the East/West Shrine game and the State track meet
Randy Hafer will be putting on a Tax Credit seminar in April for non - profits.
Steve Zeier and Chris Mehus will have a draft prepared for our review by the April 5
meeting.
Linda will contact a non - voting prospect as a replacement before we next meet.
Steve Soleberg is close to getting his brew pub open, shooting for July.
The question was raised as to whether City Council members read our minutes. It seems
people with questions don't know who to contact, several have contacted Laurel Urban
Renewal.. People are looking for information about the Tree and Park Boards.
