RE: Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP)
The Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) operates under the State of Montana's
Department of Commerce. CTAP provides assistance in community planning, subdivision regulation,
zoning and capital improvements planning. Training and technical assistance is provided by
telephone and internet communication as well as periodic regional workshops. CTAP also has
reference materials available on growth policies, model regulations and handbooks available at
http://comdev.mt.gov/includes/CTAP/traininglibrarv.pdf.
CTAP is here to assist communities across the state of Montana in planning and other related issues
including:
• Land-Use
• Zoning
• Subdivisions
• Infrastructure
as well as a wealth of other areas.
MMIA, along with the Montana League of Cities and Towns, has recently sent a copy of the handbook
for Title 76.
Complete information concerning CTAP is at http://comdev.mt.-gov/CDD ctap.asp and their staff is
ready to assist your community. Call 406.841.2700.
