The Tree Board meet at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers
with President Pat Hart presiding. Mwmbers present were Mayor
Ken Olson, Chuck Rodgers, Fred Bicha and Sue Carter, absent
were Emelie Eaton, Kurt Markegard, and Matt Wheeler.
We received the Arbor day Grant for $1,000, that Kurt wrote, so
we are planning for the tree planting at Thompson Park. Arbor
Day will be celebrated on April 30th, at 1:00 P.M. in Thompson
Park. We are planning the invitations, program and M.C., Pat
will do media, Sue will do school involvement, Chuck will do
Food for the Picnic and Kurt will get the `frees. We will invite
the County Commissioners, City Council, Sehool and City Staff I&
Families.
We also received a grant from the D.N.R.C 2010 Urban Forestry,
that Emolie wrote, for: 1,9`,400`- City Cash match $3,'753.04 and
in kind services 515,439.00 total of projects $38,192.00.
The committee is to study the two grants and come back with
suggestions of how to achieve our goals.
The Tree Conference in October made $1,000.00 profit, thanks
to the D.N.R.C.
