July 27, 1983
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was
held in the Council Chambers and c~lled to order by Mayor Albert Ehrlick at
7:36 p.m., on July 27, 1983, for t~e purpose to pass a resolution to not hold
a primary election.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT:
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT:
Duane Behm.
Fred Feuerbacher, III
Lonnie Kellogg
Marvin Carter
Bill Brennan
Rob Harris
Bob Gauthier
Susan Carter
Mayor Ehrlick read a letter from David Halland, Election Administrator,
saying that the number of. filings for Laurel did not exceed the limits requiring
a primary election. However, the City Council must within seven (7) days pass a
Resolution stating that a primary election need not be held.
RESOLUTION NO. 2009
DECLARING IT UNNECESSARY TO HOLD A PRIMARY ELECTION
FOR THE OFFICES OF CITY JUDGE AND FIVE (5) ALDERMEN
IN THE CITY OF LAUREL ON SEPTEMBER 13, 1983.
Motion by Alderman Behm that Resolution No. 2009 be passed and adopted,
seconded by Alderman Harris. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
