Meeting called to order at 1900 by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were Bill Brennan,Don Schlegelmilch,and Roy Zahm.
Guests present were Craig CanfieldJbmdy Pfeifle,Chad Potter,Bob Redding,Doug
Poehls,Walt Putuam,Jim Schaak,Bob Spannagleand Will Metz.
Minutes of the August meeting were approved as read.
Bills were presented and approved.
Craig Canfield reported that the F.A.A,is still studying alternative cross wind
runway optionsbut will probably fund.Project would probably run from 20013
thru 2015.Capital improvement plan has been submitted to Feds.2010 project-clear
approach(east end)mostly trees.
Aviation and Technology Week is in May 2010.Need to clean up before then,main_ly
weeds around hangars.
Bob Spwmagle hadn't seen the letter from Northern Skies copncerning S.O.M.E.
Not providing services(rest rooms,courtesy caretc.).He thinks the Authority ought
to provide these services for them.
Will Metz also objected and said the Authority HAS to provide these services.He
stated that he has sent a letter to the Laurel City Council demanding that the
chairman and Authority members all resign and let S.O.M.E. supporters run the

Chairman Smith said they need to erect a sign stating that they do NOT provide
services and alittle help in maintaining and cleaning the facilities in the Pilot's
Lounge would be appreciated.
Metz wants to change his lease from commercial to private but when it was
explained that it will cost him 40% more for the private lease he changed his mind.
Jim Schaak says that state law says we have to provide a free area for him to load
and operate his cropdusting business and that we can't question his business.Will
investigate.
Al Koezler wants tobuild 50 by 44 hangar.Mogau contemplating building another
hangar.
Hopefully we will build a taxiway to the old hangar area as the old runway will be
demolished.
