A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held
in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Albert Ehrlick at 5:00 p.m.
on February 26, 1985, for the purpose of opening-bids on the Ditch Lining project.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Lonnie Kellogg Rob Harris
Marvin Carter Bob Gauthier
Bill Brennan
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Mel Krug Chuck Dickerson
Donald Meyers
This being the time and place advertised,- all bids received were opened and
read aloud.
Only one bid was received which was from Williams Brothers Construction, Billings,
Montana, Contractor's License 9P5626A, in the amount of $159,670.00.
Bid bond in the amount of 10% was attached.
The bid exceeded the engineer's estimate of $75,000. There is only $88,306 of
the DNRC .~;ranb money remaining which would be used for advertising, engineer's
fees and construction.
Motion by Alderman Kellogg to reject the bid from Williams Brothers Con-
struction, seconded y erman Brennan. Motion carried 5--0.
Meeting adjourned at 5:07 p.m.

DITCH LINING AND DRAIN PROJECT
LAUREL, MONTANA
Separate sealed bids for construction of the ditch lining
and drain project will be received by the City of Laurel,
Montana, at the office of the City Clerk until 5:00 p.m.,
local time, on February 26, 1985, and then publicly opened
and read aloud at the Council Chambers in the City Hall.
The contract documents consisting of Plans and Specifi-
cations may be examined or obtained at the office of HKM

Bid security in the amount of 10~ of the bid must accompany
each bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders.
One contract will be awarded for the work consisting of
one schedule. Contractors shall bid on all items of the schedule.
The- City of Laurel has the right to award the Contract to the
lowest and/or best qualified responsible bidder and reserves the
right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities.
