HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial City Council Minutes 04.17.1986 (2)Minutes of the City Council of Laurel April 17, 1986 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Bob Gauthier at 5:10 p.m., on April 17, 1986. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Donna K~ilpatrick Mel Krug L. D. Collins Donald Meyers Rob Harris Norman Orr COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Ervin Wood Chuck Dickerson This meeting was called for the specific purpose of the first reading of the ordinances to update and repeal the technical codes. The ordinances were presented as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 833 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.28.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL CODE. Motion by Alderman Meyers that Ordinance No. 833 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Krug. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 834 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.28.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, CHANGES IN ELECTRICAL CODE. Motion by Alderman Meyers that Ordinance No. 834 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Krug. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 835 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.28.030 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, PENALTY OF ELECTRICAL CODE. Motion by Alderman Meyers that Ordinance No. 835 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Harris. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 836 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.32.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. Motion by Alderman Harris that Ordinance No. 836 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Meyers. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 837 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.32.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE DUTIES OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. Motion by Alderman Harris that Ordinance No. 837 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Meyers. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 838 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.32.030 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE CONTROL OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. Motion by Alderman Collins that Ordinance No. 838 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Krug. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 839 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.36.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ADVISORY BOARD. page2 Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Motion by Alderman Collins that Ordinance No. 839 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Meyers. ORDINANCE NO. 841 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.40.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE CHANGES IN THE MECHANICAL CODE. Motion by Alderman Kruq.that Ordinance No. 841 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Orr. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 842 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.40.030 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR PENALTY OF MECHANICAL CODE. Motion by Alderman Meyers that Ordinance No. 842 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Krug. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 843 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.68.010 OF:THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE ADOPTION OF LIFE SAFETY CODE. Motion by Alderman Kruq that Ordinance No. 843 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderwoman Kilpatrick. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES~, Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 844 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.68.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR THE CHANGES IN THE LIFE SAFETY CODE. Motion by Alderman Collins that Ordinance No. 844 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Meyers. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 845 (first reading) REPEALING SECTION 15.68.030 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE, FOR PENALTY OF LIFE SAFETY CODE. Motion by Alderman Meyers that Ordinance No. 845 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Orr. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried. Motion by Alderwoman Kilpatrick that Ordinance No. 846 (first reading) be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Orr. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion by Alderman Orr that Ordinance No. 877 (first reading)be passed and adopted, seconded by Alderman Harris. Upon taking a roll call vote all aldermen present answered, "YES." Motion carried.
