Mary presented us with an update of our current financial position with June and July
General Ledger sheets.
It shows we have approximately $50,000 available from the first half of the tax year. 2009
tax income should look better with re-appraisals and growth in the city.
We appreciate Mary's explanation and will hear from. her again before too long.
A City wide storm water system plan has been put together by City Council. to protect the
city streets. The payments will be assumed by the storm water district.
We need to develop a list of architects in addition to Randy when we begin any plans to help
business owners update their properties. We have to set master guidelines from such things
as Streetscape and decide how owners and tenants will maintain things such as planters.
Build a revolving money fund to help business owners succeed. We also must create
building and technical improvement guidelines.
Next meeting wee will see how interviews have bone wvith the surveys mailed out.
Cindy Allen let us know about a Board Training session available to us on either Oct. 28 or
29. We asked to have a syllabus provided so we know what is being taught.
Linda told us MRL has asked for 52,000 a year to lease the property for the Caboose. She
will contact Joe Gentry and Linda Frost. Also, we need to discuss how to get MRL and
Cenex involved with us.
