AS ORDINANCE creating Special Improvement District
Nom, Up and providing to the receiving of bide and letting of
oo ntracte for the laying of the extentions to the water
mains of the City of La elo in said District# the manner
in which the expenses of said improvements shall be paaid# also
the manner in whioh the oosts of said knprovemento shall
be assessed and the denomination, of the bonds and the Interest
on the bt?nds to be issued and paid for said improvement.

'SECTION 1. That at eight ovolook F*M. on the 18th day of

bide for the cor struction of the improvements a31d the laying of
Water mains in the said Special Improvement 'Diatriot No. 18, in
a.ocordw4e with the plaus and speoificatton,s thereof an4 on file
end of record in the office of the City Clerk of Laurels Montana.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk is hereby authorised and
directed to pabliaba ootioe of the time and place of reaoeiving
such bide in the Laisrel. Outlook* a weekly newspaper published
in, the City of Laurel #Xontana, in one regular issue *ft of the
ft id paper at least tfts 'days prior to the last day of receiving
bids,
SECTION 1, Uat the City Counall shall have the right

this Ordinance as to making* exeout•ing and delivering the contract,

d district shall. be paid in six oquAl ann=1 installments
the payment of said annu Installments shall be extended

8=101 9e Ate. the costs and expenses of said improvements
which is to be paid by the district by special assessment as
aforesaid shall be paid by Special Improvement bonds drawn
against the fund Qf Speaia.1 Improvement District No. 1S. Said
bonds shall be of the denomination of One H,`ndred Dollars emoh
or multiple of fractional pest thereof, shall bear intmrest
at the rata of six per cent per annum from the date of regiatzation,

and the said interest shall be payable on -the first clay of January
of eavh. year after the issuance of said bonds.
SECT1011 10. Payments for the expenses incurred by the
contract with the sucoessful'bidder and the total costs of the
improvements shall be PPJd in bonds drawn an the ftnd of
Special Improvement District No. 15# Immediately after the first
regular meeting of the Council in each month, upon estimates of
the City Engineer which shall be approved by the Council; provided
that the said oontraotor shall have paid for the material used and
.labor performed on said improvements and the appurteanances thereunto
belonging; Twenty per pent of all estimates shall be reserved
until the final oompletion of the improvem,ents# their approval by
the engineer and their acceptance by the Council, when full settlement
the manner above mentioned, will be made.
SECTION 11. Said contractor shall receive said bonds in
payment for said improvements at the full face value and awl
Xtly exclusively upon the fund on which said bonds arcs drama;

SECTION 13. That the costs of engineering and, inspection
in connection with said Improvements# the cost of publishing
all notices, res-Oxutions and ordinances relating to said improvements,
the costs of blank bor is ueod for said distriot and the estimated
Croat of the assessment rolls for the said district, not to exceed
in all the stun of One R=4red Thirty-four ($134) Dollars# shall be
considered a part of the original cost of said improvements and
shall be paid by the oontra.ctor in to the executive and of the City
upon receiving the bonds for his final estimate; aznd vithe said costs
in addition to the amount due the contractor under his contract,
tall be included in the estimates of the en.mineer of the amounts due
the contractors, and that bond13 shall be issued therefor to the

SECT14u 13. This is an emergency ordinanc:; and Includes

from and after its passage and ipproval. 10
