Activity Report for the month of September, 2000 for submittal to the
Yellowstone County Air Pollution Control Board on October 10, 2000.
1. INDUSTRIAL COMPLIANCE
A. There were no inspections of any sources during September.
11. ADMINISTRATION
A. With 25% of our fiscal year over, we have expended approximately 25% of our
budgeted funds. Expenditures for our vehicle and chart paper have been unusually
high, but we hope those were one-time expenses.
B. The County Commissioners lifted the ban on open burning on September 26, but
left the ban in Lockwood in effect at the request of the Lockwood Fire Department.
C. We have learned that the EMPACT grant is a reimbursement grant, so no start-up
funds will be forthcoming. A meeting is to be held in early October to look at bids
for wireless communications.
111. AIR QUALITY
A. During the month of September, only fire open burning permits were issued due to
the ban in effect for most of the month.
