Subject: Urban Pavement Preservation 2011
Mayor Ken Olson,

CITY OF LAUREL
I want to thank Bill Sheridan for his letter and kind words, dated June 22, 2009. We
likewise feel we have always had an excellent working relationship with the City of
Laurel.
This letter is to inform you that we have submitted East Railroad Street for approximately
one mile (to Juniper Ave) as your Pavement Preservation nomination. The project would.
be a cold milling and an overlay of 0.15' (2 inches). The next step in this process is that
our Planning and Pavement Management Departments will evaluate your Pavement
Management system for acceptability. Then in the near future there will be a field review
to make sure this section of road is in a condition appropriate for the pavement
preservation specified. Until these 2 steps take place we won't be sure if Laurel has a
project for 2011.
If you have any questions please call me at (406) 657-0232, or email me at
