SECTION MAYOR, CITY TREASURER. AND Cl PY COUXIL. The Gity Treasurer
of the City of Laurel, shall be charged with the collection of the
licenses herein previded for., and application for licenses, accompanied
by the fee there; or, shall be filed with him. In his discretion, or in
the discretion of thehga$t?r, such application may be hold until the
next regular meeting of the City.'%ouncil following the applieati.on9 when
it shall be submitted to the City Council for consideration. Upon receipt
of such applicatioh, vahen so submitted, the said application shall be
referr®d by the City Council to the license and bond committee of tha
City Counc it a ad tp the Chief of -Police for investigation. The Chief of
Police and Vae license And bond committee shall investigate the f acts
stated in the apolica .l.on, ' the qualifications and character of the

SECTION 3. 40LASSIFICA21ON MUM AP2BAL: Except as otherwis6 herein
provided, a separate license must be procured (Where a license is required
b?- the provisions of this ordinance) for each and every trade, business,
occupation, pursuits, vocations or entertainment enumerated in this
ordinal ce. -,aen, there is any doubt about class?fcati,on of license -
fee tuo -re paid, the matter shoulbbe referred by the City Preasurer to
the Mayor who shall decide the qu e's t ion subject to appeal to the City
oune il. If such appeal be taken no license shell be issued while the
same is pending; but the applicant may pay the feaor fees required, by
the Mayor and apply to the City CounciI at its next regular meetin, for an,
refund to4iich saidapplicant may consider himself entitled, No
